We’re a small crew by design: four people who know Houston gates the way you know your own driveway. Between us we carry more than four decades working on swing operators, slide gates, loop detectors, and the odd cantilever that hasn’t moved since Ike. We’re part of the Garrison Partners family, which means every truck, every repair, and every invoice follows The Garrison Standard. What unites us isn’t a poster on the wall. It’s the written guarantee each of us signs our name to before the gate closes behind us.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Lonnie Burke, Owner and Lead Technician
Lonnie has repaired and installed gates across Houston since before the light rail reached the East End. He learned the trade the long way: sorting out swing operators on ranch gates, then slide gates in River Oaks, then the high-cycle commercial setups along the Ship Channel. He works nine brands, including LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, Viking, Ghost Controls, DoorKing, Elite, and Mighty Mule, and he won’t pretend to know yours until he opens the panel and reads the board. When he’s not turning a busted limit switch into a working gate, he’s usually trying to keep his truck filter clean enough to survive a Houston summer. His kids call him after every rainstorm to ask if the gates on Westheimer are “behaving.”
Marcus T., Senior Installer
Marcus has been setting posts and steel since he was nineteen, and he can read fall and slope on a Houston driveway faster than most people read a stop sign. He handles the big work: full gate installations, new welded frames, and the structural repairs that keep a gate from leaning into the neighbor’s fence. He’s our go-to for concrete work, which matters when Houston soil shifts after a dry spell and a gate that was square in April is dragging by August. Marcus also keeps a small notebook in his truck with dimensions from every install he’s done in the last decade. Ask him about a gate he built in 2019 and he’ll flip to the page and tell you the post depth. He can’t stand sloppy lag bolts, and his grill is, by his own account, “pretty decent.”
Elena R., Service Coordinator
Elena is the voice on the phone when you call Carver Gate Repair Houston at (361) 320-7104, whether it’s 2 p.m. on a Tuesday or 3 a.m. on a holiday. She keeps the dispatch board honest, schedules crews so nobody is guessing, and makes sure every customer has a written price before a truck rolls. She came from logistics, which is why she talks in arrival windows and confirmations instead of “sometime tomorrow.” Elena’s the one who makes sure Marcus gets the gate weight before he loads the truck, and that Lonnie’s guarantee paperwork is printed before he leaves the shop. She was born in Katy and still thinks a proper Houston autumn is just a rumor. Her favorite repair call is the one that ends with a working gate and a customer who says “that was easy.”
Devon P., Apprentice Technician
Devon is two years into the trade and spends most days shadowing Lonnie on motor swaps, sensor alignments, and the fine art of troubleshooting a gate that only fails on hot afternoons. He started in residential garage door work, then moved to gates when he realized he’d rather fight Houston heat than a broken torsion spring in a low clearance garage. Devon is the one who runs the diagnostics first, so a weird gate in Spring Branch doesn’t get a new board when it only needed clean contacts. He’s steadily learning all nine brands we service, and he’s got a habit of asking good questions at exactly the right moment. He swears by breakfast tacos before any job south of I-10. Ask him what a loop detector does and he’ll explain it in one sentence, which is more than some instruction manuals manage.
One Standard, Every Job
Every Carver Gate Repair Houston technician, from Lonnie down to Devon, works to The Garrison Standard. That means the same routine on every job: show up in a marked truck, walk the gate, diagnose the problem, and hand you a written price before any work starts. The price does not grow once the job is open. If a repair fails inside 365 days, the guarantee is in writing, and the second visit is free. No charge, no argument. Background-checked, uniformed technicians handle the work, and a live person answers the phone around the clock. The Garrison Code is our operating rule: clean site, honest timing, and a gate that opens and closes every time. That’s the promise, and it isn’t negotiable.
Call (361) 320-7104 and you’ll get Elena or whoever is on shift, not a voicemail tree. Tell us what the gate is doing, and we’ll take it from there.
